We’re extremely relieved that the months of nail-biting anxiety for the nation are over as we awaited news — one way or another — of whether VP candidate Sarah Palin would be found innocent or guilty of abusing her power as governor of Alaska by firing her former public safety commissioner.
But the news from Anchorage is simply “Clear of any wrongdoing.”
Of course the organization clearing her is…her own campaign.
See? Now that’s how these doggone incidents ought to be handled. Leave it to a Washington outsider to show us that we don’t need “big government” horning in with their time-wasting subpoenas and darn ethics committees.
Alas the bipartisan Alaskan legislative panel concluded differently.
